Register all your domains with a single domain registrar
Sometimes it is better to put all your eggs in one basket. And domain names are a good example.
Here’s what happens: you have an idea for a domain name and you grab it right away using the first registrar you find. Problem is, five years ago you registered a domain with a different registrar. And eight years ago, another domain with yet another registrar.
That’s assuming you remember you’ve registered a domain eight years ago. Sometimes people have different accounts with the same registrar and don’t even know it.
Unless you’re very organized and have all your registrar information neatly stored and you keep up with registrations, you should move all your domains to one registrar. You simply initiate a domain transfer from one registrar to the other.
Choose the registrar with the lowest fees, so you’ll save money. Having them in one place makes it less likely you’ll miss renewing a domain because your contact info will be the same for all, and you’ll have less to keep track of when it comes to logins.
Make things easier for yourself.
