Most of us dislike being sent to voice mail or waiting on hold, but one of the ways you can improve the experience for customers and clients is to give them your website address. Hopefully your website can provide them with the answers they need or at the very least they’ll have another way of getting in touch with you through your contact form (you have one right?).
Say the address slowly and clearly, and provide any unusual spelling or characters in the domain name (words separated by dashes, etc.). This is where a good domain name comes in handy, such as the exact name of your business or something very short and easy to spell.
And be sure to point out special information that may be on the site, such as a downloadable catalogue or a video library – in other words, give them reasons to visit the site.
